Coinbase Commerce alternative for WooCommerce

Where the Coinbase Commerce plugin stands. Its WordPress.org page shows the last update in May 2024, lists 3,000+ active installations, and warns that it hasn't been tested with the latest three major WordPress releases. Threads on its support forum titled "EOL? Is this plugin still supported" and "Will this work with new Coinbase Business" have no reply from the developer.

Switch in five minutes
- Download StableCart and upload it under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin.
- Open WooCommerce → Settings → Payments → StableCart, paste the wallet address that should receive USDC on Base, and save. The shop registers itself.
- Place a small test order and pay it from any wallet. The order completes by itself once the payment confirms.
- Turn off the Coinbase Commerce gateway. Keep the plugin installed until its last orders are settled, then remove it.
How StableCart works
- The buyer gets a pay page with the exact amount and a QR code any wallet app can scan, or pays from a browser wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet.
- Every order is quoted a unique amount, such as 25.000173 USDC. That is how payments are matched to orders without a wallet per order.
- StableCart watches the Base blockchain and tells your shop through a signed webhook. It holds no keys and cannot move, freeze or reverse a payment.
- Payments that arrive after the quote expired are still matched for 24 hours, so a slow buyer doesn't become a support ticket.
Questions
Can I still receive the money in my Coinbase account?
Yes, if the address you paste accepts USDC on the Base network. The payment goes to whatever address you enter.
Is StableCart on WordPress.org?
It is in review there now. Until the listing is live, the same plugin downloads from this site and updates will follow through WordPress.org once it is approved.
What if I don't have a website?
Use payment links: paste a wallet, set an amount, and send the link by email or chat.
