BitPay alternative

Paying BitPay 2% on stablecoin sales?

BitPay is built for merchants who want crypto converted and paid out to a bank. If your buyers pay in USDC and you are happy to keep USDC, you can skip the processor and its fee.

What BitPay charges. Its pricing page lists 2% + 25¢ per transaction below $500,000 of monthly volume, 1.5% + 25¢ up to $1 million, and 1% + 25¢ above that, with higher fees for high-risk industries.

When BitPay is the better fit

If you need your sales in dollars or euros in a bank account, if buyers pay in Bitcoin, or if you want the processor to carry the conversion risk, BitPay does things StableCart deliberately does not. StableCart does one thing: USDC on Base, straight to you. Turning USDC into bank money is a separate step you do at an exchange of your choice.

Questions

Can I run StableCart next to BitPay?

Yes. They are separate WooCommerce payment methods, so you can offer USDC through StableCart and keep BitPay for other coins.

Does StableCart convert USDC to dollars?

No. The USDC lands in your wallet and stays USDC, which holds its value at one dollar. You can move it to an exchange and withdraw to a bank whenever you like; the exchange charges its own fee.

Does StableCart ever hold my money?

No. The buyer pays your wallet directly. StableCart only watches the Base network and tells your shop when the payment arrived.
